League of Geeks, the studio behind Armello, has announced that their next project will be a revival of the cult strategy game Solium Infernum.
The reimagining of the classic turn-based strategy game set in Hell will include a new single player campaign and asynchronous multiplayer mode, as well as new 3D graphics and an updated interface.
The objective of the game is to reclaim the Infernal Throne of Hell, using military strategy, political intrigue, deception, and betrayal. Players choose one of eight villains at the start of the game and must collect five spheres of evil and artifacts to accomplish their mission.
These games usually last between two and four hours if you play alone, but up to a week if six people play with only a few minutes a day.
Tent Kusters, the co-founder and director of League of Geeks (a studio based in Melbourne, Australia, made famous by its work with Armello) explained that “the original Solium Infernum is one of the most remarkable video games ever created. Its evocative Milton-inspired vision of hell and deep focus on political intrigue are unlike anything else on the market. We’re honored and thrilled to bring Solium Infernum into the spotlight it’s always deserved!”
